Decisions in Paradise Paper: Part II
Making decisions in life is hard within itself let alone trying to make decisions that will better an organization however, decisions need to be made and thought through so that the decision made is the most preeminent for the problem. When you have to make a choice and don't make it, that is in itself a choice (James, 2010).
Decision Making Technique

Even though our model chosen is very detailed and breaks the process down piece by piece. Too much detail at times can make the decision making process more monotonous and complicated. A decision on whether to build a new facility is no unproblematic decision. The decision making model technique takes time and patience in which may not suit the needs for Kaiser Permanente. Decisions do need to be made after being discussed and all aspects of what ifs are explored however a simpler model might be more applicable due to the timeliness of the situation. What's called a difficult decision is a difficult decision because either way you go there is penalties” (Kazan, 2009-2011).
Decision Model Selected
The decision making model chosen is rationale to Kaiser Permanente merely because it is meticulously oriented and to the point. We can presume that if we pursue our decision making model specifically that our decisions will be completed with the accurate amount of contemplation process and pros and cons associated with the decision. Emotionally this process allows for all emotions to be set aside. When feelings and emotions have a tendency to get involved this makes the process of making a decision not pleasant. We can assume that adding emotions is not apart of the decision making model chosen for our company. Perceiving that this model is best for us is solely based on how the model is presented. The breakdown of the model allows every aspect and detail of a decision to be appropriately evaluated. Kaiser Permanente is in the business of healthcare for that reason we have an obligation make our patients feel like family and well taken care of. This model allows our organization to present a problem and step by step deal with any details or surprises that may arise.
Expanding our business to Kava will most definitely bring on many challenges and hurdles, but having a plan in place will help us navigate through whatever obstacles come our way. Having solutions to difficulties will tolerate are transitioning development to run smoother. Our solution impacts are straight forward.
