Wyndham, restructured from real estate to hotel chain. Upon acquiring by Patriot American Hospitality, a paired shared real estate investment trust (REIT) renamed itself as Wyndham International. They acquired many small hospitality companies. Due to declining financial health and federal regulatory scrutiny, the company came up with restructuring plan. They faced challenges associated with franchising strategy and also largely due to decentralized IT.
