Wal-Mart is a giant retail cooperation that is not able to provide adequate pay and benefits to the current employees (“Making change at Wal-Mart, 2014). One possible solution concerning this issue is to conduct research and to properly organize a way to survey or interview employees who are being directly affected. Interviews can be conducted in the mangers office between one employee and a manager. In conducting this research, it is hopeful that the results will be evaluated so that appropriate changes can be made for the current employees and their families
Qualitative Methods/Statistical Test
When implementing qualitative methods there are many resources that can be considered. Qualitative research is aimed at gaining a deep understanding of a specific organization or event rather than surface description of a large sample of a population, (Data Collection Strategies Ii: Qualitative Research, n.d)). There is significance when gathering information from this particular method because it derives from a personal place of truth. This research is beneficial because it aims to get a better understanding through firsthand experience, truthful reporting, and quotations of actual conversations (Data Collection Strategies Ii: Qualitative Research, n.d)). The participant in this research will accomplish the goal of knowing from daily experience of how the employees of the Walmart brand truly evaluates the company’s business perspectives such the type of structuring with benefit packages and income wages. Random statistical testes will performed to determine which employees are content with the benefit package and income wages and also those who feel as though it is not suitable. This will be a random test that will be performed on random employees and then broken up into two groups later to be compared and judged upon the majority results.
These results will be handed to each employee to be discussed within the management team. Within the two groups of employees tested the researcher can conclude the results displayed showed that the majority of Walmart employees felt as though the wages and benefits didn’t coincide with one another. Testing for statistical significance will tell what the probability is that the relationship that is found is due only to a random chance but comes from a bias place.
