And as is the case with any type of change, users are going to be impacted and affected by the changes. This may result in users failing to meet their set deadlines or providing sub-standard service until proper training is conducted. Training and transfer of knowledge is an on-going process at Econet as it imparts and enhances skills and knowledge required in performing their duties. The importance of and ability to receive automatic software updates cannot be over-emphasized – this is going to be possible by investing in a Software Support Agreement that ensures Econet receives current software/system updates as they are effected. Not only does this Agreement provide upgrades automatically, it also provides 24 hours of help desk support should there be issues with the software. Changes to Econet’s business processes come with a lot of benefits that are not realized from the current OBIEE 10G version – all of which are clearly highlighted in this paper.

Discussion of Business Problem(s)
As Econet Wireless strives to maintain a competitive edge, the technology it uses also has to be maintained and upgraded. Although it has been able to extract data to provide meaningful and accurate reporting, monitoring of its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), security application as well as managing its dashboard management, upgrading to OBIEE 11G will allow for the company to gain greater insight into its data as well as see an improvement in its system overall performance. The superiority of OBIEE 11g over 10g lies in its robust architecture employing Web Logic Server and Fusion Middleware Control resulting in improved scalability, performance and administrative ease. OBIEE 11G also offers a host of powerful features like Scorecards, Action Framework, Geospatial Analytics and integration with iPad/iPhone making it one of the most comprehensive BI suites in the market. Lastly, it offers richer and enhanced visualizations leading to better user experience.
Econet currently uses OBIEE 10G that doesn’t support Time series functions that has the capability to evaluate and...
