About the year 570 there was a child named Muhammad. He was born into a clan of Quraish, which was the ruling tribe of Mecca. Mecca is now known as Saudi Arabia. This child would become the prophet of Islam. Muhammad’s father died before he was born and he was raised by his mother , Aminah till the age of 6 where he was sent to live with his Grandfather who was the head of the Clan Hashim.
