Lab report 2: Fuel Injection System diagnosis
Purpose: The purpose of this lab is for the student to be able to recognize the proper diagnosis procedure to find the fuel injection fault.
Equipment:
* Fuel pressure gauge
* Safety Glasses

Procedure: 1.Check service information for the recommended diagnosis procedure to follow when diagnosing fuel injection faults.
2. List components included in the fuel injection system
3. Record which were specified measurements
4. Record the necessary action that must be taken based on the test results you have recorded
Observations:

Purpose: The purposes of this lab are diagnosed and perform a fuel pump test.
Equipment:
. Fuel pressure Gauge
. Safety glasses

Procedure:
1. Check service information and determine the factory specifications for acceptable fuel pump pressure.
2. Check service information, locate the fuel system pressure test valve or port, and describe its location.
3. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel pressure Schrader valve
4. Start the engine and observe the fuel pressure.
5. Determine the necessary action on the test results you have writing down.

4. No more necessary actions.
Conclusion: based on the observation we received, no more necessary actions need to be taken. The lab was successfully completed

Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to find the current draw for the Saturn using a multimeter.
Equipment:
. Safety glasses
. Multimeter
. Fuel pressure Gauge
Procedure:
1. Connect a digital multimeter, set to amps, and connect the red lead to the positive side of the battery.
2. Connect the black lead to the fuel pump test terminal
3. Confirm the leading with acceptable specs
4. Find the necessary action based on the results that recorded
Observation:

Make: Saturn
Model: SL
Reading: 8.7 amps (central port injection)
Necessary action: use the amp meter to connect to a relay and read the recordings.
Conclusion: we were able to successfully record all the information from this lab and completed all proper steps to do a current draw test.
