The classroom is a place where formal learning occurs. It is a place that can offer a wholesome venue for learning activities which can be realized only in an atmosphere conducive to both teaching and learning process.
A typical classroom is an area in which serve as a second home of both teachers and student. The teacher is a development of learning in the classroom and as a partner of home in the education of the students.

Good classroom management develops an atmosphere which permits activities to be carried on efficiently and economically. It insures use of teacher’s and the student’s time, effort and energies. A clean and well-lighted area, together with a comfortable seating arrangement make the classroom an inviting place for promoting interaction and a much welcomed feeling of togetherness. Records of performance are keep will and reported to keep tract of development and the discipline indicating good behavior control is well-established.
In order to teach, one must be able to manage the students under him. No matter how much potential one has a teacher, if he is unable to control the students in his classroom. Litter learning will take place. Classroom management is an integral part of the teaching and techniques of managing students must be acquired by the teacher. (Ornrstein, 1990)
Classroom cannot function well without the teacher. The success of the activities in the classroom depends on the teacher as classroom manager. Hence, the teacher should establish a well classroom management in order to maintain a well function of classroom. Teacher has the responsibility to be a great leader in the classroom this begin with the students and parents, but also include the teacher assistant. Besides teaching, organizing the classroom and communicating well with parents and students, part of the teacher role is to be a mentor to the teacher assistant in his/her classroom.
An effective teacher in classroom is one who has honed his skills in the art of teaching. He demonstrates proficiency in the use of language, adopts varied teaching strategies, recognize change apples innovator, reverse technique for optimum results, and allow himself to be guided by acknowledge principles and theories in education. More than knowledge and skills, an effective teacher is compassionate and understanding. He/she gave allowance for personal limitation. He looks at every student as a unique individual with needs and interest.
Much of maintaining control in the classroom is actions and attitude. This is not to say that students won’t misbehave on their own, but there is a reason why the same student will behave in one class and then misbehave in another. A lot of has to do with consistency in enforcing rules along with treating each student in a fair manner. Teachers, who are inconsistent, just like parents who are inconsistent, will find themselves in an increasingly chaotic classroom.
The teacher serves as the model to his students. Student idolized teachers. They believe the things the teacher says, especially if the teacher is kind, approachable and sympathetic to their needs. As a model, the teacher must look his best all the time, master his lessons and show his interest in the student welfare, show good behavior and inculcate good work and attitudes especially during trying moments in classroom.
