Background, Education, and The Truth
Barber, Mantsios, and Tannen are three authors who all talk about the problems of access to education, the purposes of education and how important it is and the impact of class as well as gender in the classroom. The successfulness of people very much bases on their social background. This is just a small part of the problems that have been discussed. This type of problem is very socializing and important; furthermore it might become issues that have big impact to social life other than just to individual. How people think and react may bring us a brighter view and better result for the future.
One issue is that lower class classrooms do not have ...view middle of the document...

Women can get higher education and there were some places for them to developing and their voice has been recognizing. As time goes on, we are just figured out that entertainment has been taught into our mind just by the products we eat on campuses.
Advertising is entering school really fast and there is not any good way to stop it yet. The advertising companies will offer them products to lease just if they show their student a twelve-minute advertising video. “We are not going to give it to you, but we’ll lease you some equipment…a very nice little twelve-minute program” (Barber 418). It is like nothing will affect us but we actually do not know what really happens behind that. Computers and Internet nowadays are very familiar with everyone. There are a lot of commercials on the Internet and by that, it may affect kids from studying because they spend lots of time for computer and Internet. So that, students actually spend more time to watch commercials than focus in school. Advertising to children is not helping at all for their education. So what is the purpose of doing that? Money is the only thing that they want. This is one of the ways that those companies and corporations do not have to put lots of money in but they can get a lot of benefits out of it. Other than that, he was also saying that America is on the way alone to step out of the independence period and walk in into interdependence. In this period, America itself and the entire world were in trouble and the markets should be in charge to solve this problem. America has to become aware of the problems in the world, not only itself. “In particular, this nation was the special land where independence had been declared, and our two oceans would protect us from the world” (Barber 421). America has a new chance to begin change in education. We have to try to come up with a positive solution to fix this issue otherwise it will be worse. Commercialize, sound is not a big deal but oppositely it is fun to someone. Lets think this way, everybody expects to learn the truth from school, which means everything that is being taught at school is true. Now then commercials want to join in. So that whatever commercials say is true, isn’t it? It will narrow down a student’s thinking. In other words, their thinking will not grow positively anymore. Now educators need to make the change in education, they will be the difference in what the future of education will be. Related to this issue, Mantsios addresses his ideas very clearly about how class affects people’s life.
People in the lower class do not have the equal opportunity to get what they are supposed to get. The gap between rich and poor people is getting bigger over time. Therefore, how does a commercial classroom designed for lower classes affect the future of the lower class? In the article, “Class in America”, Gregory Mantsios shows us how personal background of people affects his or her life. As we think, the class that each of us...
