USA sponsors 6 men's sports and 8 women's sports. USA Campus life also entails several options for housing such as: coed dorms, fraternity and sorority dorms, apartments for single or married students and also for the disabled. USA offers 24-hour campus safety and security services such as foot and vehicle patrols, late night transport/escort service, 24-hour emergency telephones, lighted sidewalks, and controlled dorm access.
University of South Alabama is a college that develops and prepares superb individuals to face the demands of the world.

University of Mobile

The University of Mobile, a private Christian University founded in 1961 and has been listed as one of America’s best Christian colleges for 11 consecutive years. On July 1, 1993, Mobile College became the University of Mobile to better reflect the growth in programs and facilities. The university added an international component and expanded its academic programs; by opening an Latin American Branch Campus in San Marcos, Nicaragua in the fall of 1993. The university takes pride in preparing its students to change the world not just to survive in it. Moreover, its vision is to “changes lives to change the world” ("university of mobile")
This 800-acre facility has a total of 1,417 undergraduates enrolled, which utilize a semester based academic curriculum. The university has over 4 areas of study streaming from: Nursing, Education, Christian Studies, Performing Arts and Arts and Science. The School of Nursing offers both associates and bachelors degrees and the School of Business offers a master’s degree. The student-faculty ratio at University of Mobile is 12:1, and the school has 54.0 percent of its classes with fewer than 20 students. (us news education , 2011) The tuition is roughly 13,500 for both in-state and out of state.
The University of Mobile may not be as known for its basketball or football as University of South Alabama but the university does have top-ranked notifications in tennis, golf, baseball, men and women soccer, and volleyball. University of Mobile offers a number of student services including non-remedial tutoring, health service, and health insurance. However, like USA; University of Mobile also has 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, lighted pathways/sidewalks, and controlled dormitory access. The university also publish it owns University of Mobile Magazine; it has on campus bible study, talents shows, spring formal and a list of clubs and organizations.
