Report on the Religious Life of Planet Earth

Discuss the criteria you will employ to determine if people on earth are religious
— in other words, what does religion look like.
People such as me spend a lot of time trying to make sense of their life. I believe that
everything we do is leading us to a place in our life. What is in store for them? Why did God or
their God choose this path for them? In my religion we believe that we are here for a small time
and these tracks we lay in life pave our way to a greater ending. Some get comfort from the

To many this seems like a strong faith to think this higher being would be
able to help you instead of making it happen on your own.
The third belief or observance would be the belief that if we worship this God and do
morally what is expected of us based on the scripter then we will go to heaven and there we will
be in eternal bliss. There is also the belief that if we do not follow these rules or guidelines then
we will go to Hell and that means eternal pain and anguish for your wrong doings. Some
religions believe that you simply are dead. Others believe that you are reincarnated. Some even
believe you become a spirit that will travel the universe.
Based on your observations, explain what the function of religion appears to be on Earth.
I feel that religion is used as a moral compass or guideline. Many people need a guideline
to know right from wrong. That is a lot of what religion is. It is almost used as a reward
program. You live your life serving your God using these guidelines set forth and then you are
