Effective Apology

All kinds of people make mistakes all the time from old to young & weak to strong, “Our mistakes are what make us human”, they follow us around even when we don’t think that we’ve made a mistake, what might be acceptable in my point of view might be unacceptable in others point of view, We human beings are walking offenders.

To make it up for the mistake, a proper apology should be given. Apologies are considered important in any society; it is a powerful way to regain trust of the victim. However, a person should be careful when giving an apology, because it can backfire to make the matter worse and create a bigger conflict, even if your intentions are sincere. ...view middle of the document...

The most crucial point in Remorse and in the whole apology is the phrase I’m Sorry or I apologies.
Restitution: the effort to try to fix the relationship and return it to what it was before the offense. the intention that the offender values the relationship and desires to rebuild it on terms agreeable to the victim. Ex: I wish you accept this gift as a way to show my remorse, and help in regaining my trust. What else can I do?
4. Repetition: the promise that the action that affected the victim won’t happen again by the offender. Ex: I promise it will never happen again.
