PROJECT TITLE: Professional Development of Employees
PROJECT SPONSOR AND PROJECT MANAGER: The project sponsor is the director of High Mountain Services; the project manager assigned to the project is Michelle Summers.
BUSINESS NEEDS: The Professional Development of Employees needs to do the following:
* Provide development services online through collaborative technologies.
* Communicate the scope of the professional development to all employees and shareholders.
* Promote ongoing activities/events, especially its development seminars.
* Easily update its event listings.
* Issue seminar evaluation and survey features.
* Support seminars with online registration.

The new Web site should incorporate these two sites. The organization of the Web site should make it simple for a diverse audience of users to find what they need. The new site should feature event listings that High Mountain can edit all listings easily. High Mountain also want to be able to get information on employees work performances and achievements.
The project schedule consists of four parts:
PHASE I: Project Planning (End of May)
PHASE II: Content Gathering (End of June)
PHASE III: Development (End of July)
PHASE IV: Design (End of August)
Proposed Start and Completion Dates:
Start date: May 1, 2013
End date: October 30, 2013
Employee professional development Up-to-date information on what employee’s development state is and what else needs to be accomplished.
Ability to submit documentation upon completion of documents employees can submit them.
Notify employees of due dates for documents Employee calendars will show dates that documents need to be completed by.
Notify employees of professional requirements Employees will be notified when a requirement needs to be done and how long they have to complete.
Seminars and conferences will be given dates of these and how many need to attend from each division. Will also show the corporate how many more employees need to go.
Social Networking Keeps ties with the other divisions of the company and create a bond that carry over into job performance.
