After I read this speech I found that Mr. Obama had used several ways to try and convince his audience. The logos messages were very clear to me that no man is portrayed by just a few people that are involved in a person’s life you need to look beyond those people and see each person as an individual. The ethos perception was very well done as well his preacher had a very negative sermon that everyone associated with Mr. Obama then he condemned the negative sermon stating that if we keep living in the past we will never move forward as a whole ...view middle of the document...
Then the part about Ashley’s story one of sad and depressing struggling white family to show that there is disparity everywhere not just in the black communities. He develops his idea buy trying to appeal to every one of all colors. The context of this speech is that of a long history of discrimination to the black communities. The politics of the speech was to oppose what his pastor said about the white people and the discrimination of the black communities and to try and bring everyone together. Of course the current events where were the pastor said the negative statement toward the white people and how they discriminate against the black community still to this day. His intended audience was to the American people to unite together as a whole people not a divided people. My response to the speech was that I could understand what he was talking about I could relate in some way even though I’m white I still have plenty of struggles I have to work hard for anything I have just like every other person in our great nation in these days we should not even have to discuss race as a factor for favorability but the sad truth is that there is a real struggle out there for any people no matter the color of their skin. It’s in my opinion that we should all have equally and same rights for everyone like the constitution states. We should all come together instead of fighting each other about issues we don’t have any control of.
