Processor (CPU): The processor in a computer refers to the part of a computer system which carries out the computer program's instructions, to perform the basic arithmetical, logical as well as input and output operations of the system. It plays a role somewhat similar to that of a brain in the computer. It executes as well as interprets programs, and processes data. It is the main function of any computer, and without it the computer itself would be a lost source.

RAM (Random Access Memory)
Often confused with the hard drive, RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is the most common type of memory used in computers. A computer's RAM is the memory used to store data and programs on a temporary basis. The RAM is compared to short-term memory, as it stores applications and information that is actively used while the system is on. Graphics card and sound card: A graphics card is a computer's data-to-image translator. It takes the binary data from the central processing unit (CPU) and turns it into a screen image. The graphics card is responsible for working out the details of exactly how the pixels on the computer's monitor will create that image. The power supply takes power from the power system of an office or home and converts it into a form that the personal computer can use. It is required to provide various voltages, at different strengths, since the various components found in the computer's system unit have different power requirements.

Network Card: A network card prepares, sends, and controls data on the network. It acts as connector between a computer and a network cable. It is also called a network adapter or network interface card. It is exhibits settings that are configured to ensure that the computer and network are compatible.
