Nigga Essay

Savan Patel
The most common and unnecessary form of infanticide is an abortion. The abortion rate of America alone is shockingly high and yet increases every year. So why are so many women choosing to end the lives of unborn babies that weren’t even given the chance to live? For most women, the reason is social issues: they may not feel ready or prepared to have a baby, they may be too young or they just view their pregnancy as a mistake. No matter the reason, abortions are not acceptable and we, as Americans, should fight as hard as we can to diminish them just like we would, murder or terrorism.
Since abortions have become such an everyday procedure, scientists and physicians have ...view middle of the document...

Abortion clinics are known for interfering with the law, as documented in the Washington Times. They reported that some Planned Parenthood facilities failed to report sexual abuse and statutory rape to law enforcers for children under the age of 18. Their loyalty is not towards the law, it is towards these under-aged girls and middle-aged women that pay them. In fact, many people would be surprised to know that clinics, such as Planned Parenthood, make an incredible amount of money, most of it coming from taxpayers. In the years 2005-06, they took in nearly 1 billion dollars and $55 million in surplus, about one-third coming from government subsidies.
Basically, the government pays millions of dollars to doctors to take the lives of unborn children. The abortion industry has become a big marketing business, having supplies sent from other nations and demanding goods from all over the nation. It is a large waste of the government’s money, of our money, and its needs add to our economic drowning.
Religious concepts highly interfere with the abortion process. The Christian church specifically prohibits abortions. They use passages such as Psalm 139:13-16 and Luke 1:44 to reveal the personhood of an embryo or fetus. God refers to a child in its mother’s womb several times, meaning that that child is a living person awaiting life on Earth. Therefore, aborting any child, unless for safety issues, is murder and the law should recognize it that way. The Catholic Church is even more known for having a wide say in abortions. The church teaches that abortions are “grave sin[s] against the natural law”. They view abortions to be equivalent to murder because life begins at conception. Christianity and Catholicism are not the only religions to oppose the killing of a fetus. Hinduism also considers life to begin at conception and they recognize a fetus to be a living person deserving of protection. In a separate account, they stress murder as a great crime, one of the worst sins possibly committed. Scholars interpret that to mean performing an abortion leads to the death of a child. In Hinduism, opposition to abortions is based on the belief that abortions are murder if done 120 days after conception because, according to the Hadith, a fetus isn’t considered alive until the 120th day after conception.
The only exceptions being if the women’s life is in jeopardy. Judaism is similar in that under the Jewish law of halakha, abortions are prohibited once 40 days have passed since conception. Even secular and agnostic belief rejects abortions. Some secular pro-life individuals emphasize the right-to-live as the most “fundamental human right guaranteed by the law“, and abortions strictly violate that right. In a matter of science, a fetus holds the...
