Nerds Essay

Argumentative Essay
A nerd is a person who strongly believes that perhaps studying is the only thing on earth. He/she is a person who has confined himself/herself to text books only and does not like being social. He/she believes that studies are perhaps the only motto of his/her life. Now what actually makes a person a nerd? Well, I believe it is the society which makes the person a nerd. Moreover, parents nurturing also play a very significant role in making a nerd. If a child from his/her early classes is locked in a room to study, study and study all the time. He/she will have no other option but to actually study all the time. He/she will have no other option but to actually study which will ultimately lead him/her to be a nerd.
In addition, competition also plays an important role. The child because of his/her less innate potential might not be able to excel. Thus according to Adler, it will lead him into a state of inferiority complex which will depress him/her in the beginning and will turn him/her into a freak who studies all time to compete with others.
However, a person who believes the otherwise that nerds are not forced to become nerd rather it is their personal choice might state that parents can only to a certain age.
After that limit, they can choose what they want. But those who are nerds still remain nerds. Why do they not stop studying when there is no one to stop them and do what they desire? I would say it is because of the nurture that enables him/her to continue staying the same. If a child from his early age is handed over only a book all the time and not a car or a doll, it is certain that he/she is going to develop his interest in books only will continue his/her habits in adulthood.
Thus, this clearly suggests that it is the society which makes a person, a nerd and not his/her personal choice.
