Myers-Briggs assignment

My type on this assignment was the ESFP, Extraverted- Sensing- Feeling -Perceiving. The analysis of my formula type is that I am a slightly expressed extravert, moderately expressed sensing personality, distinctively expressed feeling personality and slightly expressed perceiving personality. According the results I love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. This is very accurate about my personality. I love to be around people and am always looking for something exciting and fun to do. In general I love to have fun. One of the things the article I read said about ESFPs is that they are attracted to new ideas and new fashions and gadgets… I don’t see that so much in myself. However, it also says that ESFPs love to tell colorful stories and I definitely do that. I have the tendency to make an otherwise ...view middle of the document...

I definitely live for excitement. If I don’t think it’s going to harm anyone, I may go to an extreme to have fun or help someone. I love trying new things and having the rush of excitement, and that embarrassing funny moment that often comes with the spur of the moment actions. I don’t really think so much about what can go wrong but what can go right. I love to go to the extreme in helping people that others may consider dangerous and am always blessed by that part of my personality. This also helps me in my job as I work to minister to people about God, otherwise if I didn’t put myself in those situations they may not hear of God’s love for them.
As far as the extraverted thinking, I can see some of that in me. Mostly though, I’m not sure that describes my personality completely accurately. I don’t protect myself very well from those who take advantage of me. It usually gets to an extreme before I actually realize what is happening. I do however agree with the description this sense describes in doing well to seek out a confirmation on making tough decisions. It usually takes me a while and a lot of thinking and reasoning before I will commit to making a hard decision.
Lastly, in concerning the introverted intuition it definitely describes my personality. Intuition lacks a sense of balance and that definitely describes me. I often take on too many things and am unable to balance them all. Or, I do balance them all and become overwhelmed. I really am a yes girl, and like to tell everyone yes and that I will help them. Being a yes girl, gets me in trouble sometimes because it causes a lot of unnecessary stress and often resentment toward the project I’m helping on.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this assignment! It has taught me a lot about myself, and has made me realize that this is the way I’m made and there are some good and bad qualities about me, but God made me this way for a reason.
