The new age of technology which the internet plays a big role in it has opened up new marketplaces that allow us to advocate our businesses to new geographic spots and different cultures, and given that it can now be so easy to work with people remotely as it is to work face-to-face, cross-cultural communication is progressively the new norm.

Overall the business and workplace culture and tradition in Oman rests more on the social practices and is channelized according to the religious and cultural setup.

Given different cultural settings, this brings new communication challenges to the Work environment. Even when employees situated in different locations or offices speak the same language (for example, communications between English-speakers in the U.S. and English-speakers in the UK), there are some cultural contradictions that should be considered in an effort to enhance communications between the two parties.
