My motivation to enroll at GCU and pursue higher education, was because of a few reasons. First of all, I want to do better for my family and myself financially and to give us a better lifestyle. The more education I have, the more money I can potentially make, to be able to do so. Secondly, I want to advance in my career and secure my future, and I have realized, I have been promoted as high as I ever ...view middle of the document...
Lastly, but not least, I want to meet higher expectations, for my parents, family and more so, for myself. I want to complete my degree and show them and myself, I have what it takes to succeed. I want to, especially, demonstrate success to my daughter, and set an example, using motivation and the drive to succeed.
Motivation is important for student success and I feel it is the most important factor in learning and achieving success. Being motivated, will keep me interested in learning, completing assignments, studying and turning work in on time. Students who are not motivated, will rarely succeed, so therefore, I need to be invested in what I’m learning and most importantly, believe in myself. Participation in discussion forums can help me feel connected with classmates, and help keep me motivated. I am not motivated to let others down, but have a hard time doing so, at times. I have been forced to start studying for my college classes now, because I know what is at stake. I am now beginning to overcome my procrastination and use my time wisely. I know it will be essential that I do for the well-being of my future.
