Missions Essay

734 words - 3 pages

Dear Mom and Dad,

I’d like to say something cute and catchy here…but instead, I’ll just get to the point of why I’m sending you this message.

That is their reality.

Our goal for this team is to instill hope in these children and families in Jesus’ name. To let them know that they do matter, that they are loved, that they can better themselves, and that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them and will care for them for all Eternity.

I’m writing to you because we are asking you to partner with us.  Partner with us to help these children.  There are multiple ways you can do this.  First and foremost, you can pray for us. This will be a very challenging journey for everyone involved.  Pray for our team’s safety.  Pray for the children in Ecuador that we will be visiting and pouring our hearts and resources into.  Pray for the children and loved ones that will be staying at home while we make this journey.  Pray for their protection, health, and reassurance while we are away. ...
