How to integrate teams, planning, and training to provide a successful outcome of the selected process
Belonging to a team, in the broadest sense, is a result of feeling part of something larger than you. It has a lot to do with your understanding of the mission or objectives of your organization. In a team oriented environment, you contribute to the overall success of the organization. You work with fellow members of the organization to produce these results. Even though you have specific job function, you are unified with other organization members to accomplish the overall objectives. The bigger picture drives your actions (Heathfield, 2011). Without effective communications, team success id diminished. Indicators related to communications include decision making, resolving conflict, sharing information, and team member’s interactions. These indicators contribute to a team member’s personal and professional satisfaction with the team. Thus, they should lead to extension focusing training on these areas of teamwork. The goal is to determine the organization’s readiness, which is typically done by training the teams to successfully complete each task at hand. While training the team members; determine which members need to have the training, some might not need as much training as others (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2008). Having productive meetings, training sections and working side by side will make the tasks at hand successful. Communication will be the major help with having a successful team with planning and training. Without having the proper communication, all the planning and training will not be profitable.
