MERIDIAN MANAGEMENT SCHOOL (MMS)
Mini Case Study Analysis (Human resource Perspective)
1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Management School of Meridian University is a specialist Postgraduate management school. MMS has being established 15 years before this case study was written since then MMS became leader in the field of postgraduate management. MMS has wide portfolio of courses both fulltime and part-time basis this was partly because of easy procedure for introducing new course.

For the first place, MMS is understaffed. This can be seeing from MMSs wide course portfolio compared to the twenty academic staff. The root cause of this is when introducing new course the executive committees just ask themselves would this course attract enough students without analysing and planning the staffing needs of the new course.
Secondly, MMS is losing very important members of staff. The reason why staff are leaving is mixed lack of motivation because of flat organisation structure. Also one female faculty member left MMS because of her feeling of MMS being male dominated organisation. Although her claim is not valid statistically because there is gender balance for number of employees MMS since MMS has 1:1 Male to female ratio on the other hand the MMS policy states that they are equal opportunity employer.
