A hidden & neglected area
28 February – Larne Museum & Arts Centre, Larne This one day workshop will be beneficial to anyone working with or caring for older people who want to understand and respond more effectively to the unique needs of clients where there are concerns about alcohol and drug use. Topics covered include: Alcohol consumption by older people - ‘Myths and Realities’ How problems develop – hidden alcohol consumption Targeted interventions The way forward Ethical considerations Targeted interventions
All courses are free to anyone who lives or works in the NDACT area. That is, the local District Council areas of Antrim, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Carrickfergus, Coleraine, Cookstown, Larne, Magherafelt, Moyle and Newtownabbey.
