(클릭!) 바로 이순신 장군입니다. 많은 한국 사람이 100원짜리에 그려진 이 인물이 누군지 모르는 사람이 많다고 합니다.

4. 이순신에 대해서 설명해보겠습니다. 한국의 옛날 이름이 조선이었죠? 그는 조선시대의 장군으로써 각 전쟁마다 승리를 해 국가에 큰 도움이 되어준 인물입니다.

8. 이 거북선입니다. (클릭!) 거북선은 아주 위대합니다. 거북선의 윗 지붕은 뾰족하여 일본 군들이 배에 감히 다가올 수 없었습니다. 게다가 (클릭!) 동그라미 친 부분이 바로 거북선의 머리 부분입니다. 아주 무섭죠?

9. 같은 년도 6월에는 경상남도 거제시의 옥포에서 또 전쟁이 일어났지만 우리의 이순신 장군님이 또 승리를 하셨습니다. (클릭!) 8월 14일엔 한산도 대첩이라는 전쟁이 일어났는데 이 전쟁에서 승리를 할 수 있었던 기술이 있는데 바로 (클릭!) 학익진 이라고 합니다.

10. 학익진이란 새의 종류 이름인 ‘학’에서 유래된 말인데 학의 날개처럼 생겼다고 생각해서 입니다. 이렇게 학 날개처럼 있으면 일본군들을 포위하기에 쉬웠지요. (클릭!) 진짜 학의 날개처럼 생겼죠?
11. (클릭!) 1597년 또 중요한 사건이 발생합니다. 바로 ‘명량대첩’이죠. 전라남도 해남군의 울돌목이라는 곳에서 발생한 전쟁입니다. 이 울돌목은 물이 아주 빠르게 흐르고 파도도 아주 큰 곳입니다.

12. 명량 해협으로 일본의 333척 배가 들어오고 있습니다. 이순신 장군은 이 곳으로 일본군을 유인해서 위험에 빠뜨리게 한 후 승리했습니다. 이순신이 위대한 이유는 지리를 잘 이용했기 때문이라고도 말 할 수 있습니다.

13. 1598년 노량 앞 바다에서 노량 해전이 발생했고 이 전쟁이 끝으로 일본과의 7년 동안의 전쟁이 끝이 납니다. 끝남과 동시에 아주 슬픈 일이 발생합니다. (클릭!) 이순신 장군님이 전쟁 중 화살에 맞아 전사합니다.

14. 아파하고 있는 이순신 장군님입니다. 하지만, 승리를 위해 자신을 따르는 군사들에게 이렇게말 합니다. (클릭!) 나의 죽음을 적에게 알리지 마라. 이 이야기를 모르는 한국인은 없을 정도로 유명하다고 합니다. 자신의 죽음을 적이 알면 적들이 힘을 얻을까 봐 이렇게 말 한 거겠죠?

15. 지금까지 이순신 장군에 대해서 알아보았습니다. 이순신 장군을 만날 수 있는 곳은 한국 광화문에 충무공 이순신 장군의 동상이 있다고 합니다. 또한 최근 큰 인기를 얻고 있는 영화 명량과 한국 드라마 불멸의 이순신, 그리고 전쟁 중 이순신이 직접 쓴 난중일기를 책을 통해 더 알아보면 될 것 같습니다. 조선을 지키기 위해 힘껏 싸워주신 이순신 장군님을 존경해야겠죠?
