Efficiency and Collaboration Proposal

Party Plates has grown significantly within the last two years and the current Excel system, excel, cannot keep up with all data. In order to improve the efficiency of the current information systems used in Party Plates, the antiquated system needs to be upgraded to a much more efficient system such as Microsoft Access. The upgrade will benefit the company in terms of better data tracking and the ability of producingto produce useful reports in relation to customer sales. One benefit to the reports that Microsoft Access will provide is the distinction between our clientele. It will distinguish which of our clients require further special attention as well as who should be rewarded for their loyalty to the company. not a function of Access as much as a function of the queries. It is imperative to differentiate our clients into their categories in order to plan a marketing strategy that will optimistically expand our appeal to our current consumers as well as potential consumers.
Microsoft Access’s functionality is not only useful but it is very user friendly. Colleagues and beginner coworkers will be able to surf the database without much training. It uses the same universal commands as Microsoft Office, such as "CTRL+S" to save and the right-click option menus. In addition databases created with Microsoft Access can be utilized in multi-user environments since more than one person can access and use the database at one time. Creating an Access database does not require knowledge of programming languages like Visual Basic or SQL. Relationships can be created between tables making it possible to update, add or delete information across the database in an instant. The database Wizards provide step-by-step instructions to create the database objects and relationships.

Microsoft Access encourages the use of data to be presented, administered, and managed in a user friendly setting making it inviting to use. Microsoft Access provides the comfort of a state of the art database with its easy-to-use, quick-learn format with its different components and features features, which make it beneficial for small and large office environments such as Party Plates. It’s It is equipped with all the tools needed to start a database and to distribute it among the company.
