In almost real time you can broadcast tweets via tweeter, engage in a private or group chat sessions, post pictures and leave comments of Facebook web pages, and start your own subject matter expert blog providing your opinion, thoughts and sharing your beliefs.
All of this can be created in the solitude of one’s environment. This allows people to enjoy a stress-free setting; more importantly, allows the imagination to run free. Before all this technology was invented, the daydreaming type of freedom was taking place in a child’s mind on playgrounds, haystacks, and lakes across the nation. It was the way a child could escape the stressors of the unknown and let his creative senses take him on an adventure for ideas and dreams. The difference between that environment and the social media atmosphere is that most of the interaction was confined in the mind of a person, not the treacherous maze of cyberspace. The innovation seclusion older generations enjoyed is slowly falling victim to the technology toys of today’s culture.
A British study of 2000 adults stated that twenty five percent of people spend time socializing online (Archer, 2013) In addition, a Pew research Center research found that thirty three percent of people would rather text than have a conversation on the telephone. The millennium generation which is accustomed to having a relationship with their iPhones and IP Ads used these devices as if it was the primary way to communicate in the world. This same young adults are the same people that many scholars suggest lack social prowess and emotional intelligence.
Stressors of innovation can be very complex and can appear in various forms from different environments, and although most Americans reap the benefits of today’s technological breakthroughs, it seems that society's thirst for more discoveries is never enough. Society’s quest to ultimately find the catch all stress free solution has created the techno drug culture that has threatened this country’s ability to deal with innovation stress. Advances in innovations increases stress in today’s society. Technology breakthroughs, genetics engineering, and health discoveries have provided positive hope for future civilization to prosper; unfortunately, it has also brought moral, social, and health stressors. Innovation for the most part is a positive concept a concept that is required for civilization to evolve. However, it can also lead to an innovation pandemic that may cause calamitous tribulations mankind.
With so much time, money, and energy being used to implement new ideas it is important the younger generation understands the definition of innovation. According to the leading online business resource, innovation is the process...
