1. What should be the format and final form of the store managers’ job description?
The store manager is responsible for directing all store activities, therefore the job description should include a short overview about the tasks, employees, standards and procedures. His particularly branch always refer to individually performance given by his job needs. Writing or pointing out job descriptions for trained employees are straightforward because its might dealing with lengths of previous performance by employees (manager). Nevertheless every company set her own goals and having own procedures and standards. Problems are most complex, hence it is better to being trained to do the job. However, most description contain sections that cover following: job identification, job summary, responsibilities and duties, authority and incumbent, standards of performance, working conditions and job specifications.

3. How should Jennifer go about collecting the information required for the standards, procedures, and job description?
Every business has their own requirement, given by the company and/or given by state or country like hygiene regulations. First of all Jennifer should inform herself with particularly regulations by state or country. Also, there will be general instructions made up by their company. All in all Jennifer need to understand what does the job need to be filled and what employees need to do those jobs effectively from this point of view Jennifer can start to collect information that include: work activities, human behavior, machines, tools, equipment, performance standards ,job context, human requirement. Everything summarized will support to make the right choices.

4. What, in your opinion, should the store manager’s job description look like and contain?
Well, if I would know about the specific job that Jennifer does like is it a service oriented store, do they sell insurance or ice cream or did she work in a public office I could give an precise advise but customer regulations or effective control are all terms that correspond with a lot of jobs. In general there is always a description that afford previous knowledge trained or studied before in Universities with these knowledge that are already made should it be easy to specify an job description. No one would apply for a job without the skills that are involved in the special fields of the job. Oriented job description with the focus on skills as needed in the job of store manager would spare some time and would lead to good recruitment of applicants.
