Who are the Members?

Congressman Peter King is serving his tenth term in the U.S. House of Representatives and is the chairman of the Homeland Security committee a position he has held for 6 years. King has been a leader in the ongoing effort to have Homeland Security funding based on threat analysis and is a strong supporter of the war against international terrorism, both at home and abroad. This includes Securing the Cities; the Science and Technology Directorate; the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office; the SAFTEY Act; and the Federal Protective Service.

Who are the Members?

Joe Lieberman is Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Senator Lieberman is working closely with Ranking Member Senator Collins to improve the security of Americans at home. The Committee has passed and Congress has enacted seven major pieces of legislation since the September 11 terrorist attacks to achieve this goal, including creation of the Department of Homeland Security, unifying the federal intelligence community, implementing the 9/11 Commission recommendations, and strengthening FEMA. The two Senators continue to oversee these laws to ensure their full implementation. Senator Lieberman also remains committed to the Committee's ongoing investigation into the roots, causes, and solutions for extreme islamic radicalization.
