Costco is known for carrying top quality national and regional brands, with 100% satisfaction guaranteed, at prices consistently below other wholesale or retail outlets. Costco’s main competitor is Sam’s Club and any other wholesale retailers, grocery stores, or supermarkets. There are currently 71.2 million cardholders in the world and of these cardholders there are 39.0 million households who own a membership.
The warehouses are designed to help small-to-medium-sized businesses reduce costs in purchasing for resale and for everyday business use. Costco Wholesale Industries operates manufacturing businesses, including special food packaging, optical laboratories, meat processing, tire installation and jewelry distribution. Costco also present multiple fully functional gas pumps located outsides of the warehouse to draw in members with their incredibly low gas prices. Costco has a goal of providing members with high quality products at substantially lower prices.
