If there are available retailers, the price for

vigorous foods are expensive. Another, reason is there is not enough funding to keep places like the Parks and Recreation centers up and running. The Parks Department is where we would go to swim and exercise in the gym for little or no fee. With the economical strain these fees have increased which prevent people from being able to utilize these facilities. When I was a child we had the PAL( police Athletic League) where I went after school. They provided services that helped me with my homework but more importantly they feed me healthy snacks until my family came home from work. There was a variety of fruits and vegetables almost always available. Mrs. Obama stated in her speech “So many of us had to walk to and from school every day, rain or shine.” “And in school, we had recess twice a day and gym twice a week, like it or not” (They Say I Say, Michelle Obama. pg. 421) In conclusion, childhood obesity is a dilemma that will affect America for a long time. “The percentage of children ages 6-11in the USA who were obese increased from 7% in 1980’s to nearly 18% in 2012” (CDCP). It is time for the adults in the world to work harder towards making these numbers go down. If not it is going seems as though the rich keeps getting richer and the poor continues to get poorer. As a result, families will continue to eat unhealthy foods because that is all their money can afford.
