It all started in Liverpool where four guys got together to form a group in 1956. They called themselves The Beatles. The band broke up in 1970 for many different reasons. The Beatles are one of the most influential bands in history, because they seemed to have limitless imagination and their creativity will never be matched.
Very recently Paul McCartney introduced Ringo Starr as a Rock N’ Roll hall of fame. McCartney was really happy to have Ringo entering the Hall Of Fame, and see the 4 of them as a real band. They are doing solo now but get together sometimes to play, and now McCartney is working with Famous rapper Kanye West RNB singer Rihanna. I think the real reason ...view middle of the document...
hooksandharmony.com. The Beatles are still important because there’s rapper, band group, new singer…that still wants to see the Beatles perform and get to learn from them or maybe get one stage with them.
Comparing the Beatles to an others British band like the Rolling Stones would be really easy, because that is two group that grew up in the with rock n roll in America in the early 20th-century. The only group that is still around is the Beatles, but the Rolling Stones achieved some great things in the 60s and 70s and they were sometimes called the best Rock group but the Beatles came and took that name, because they were innovators and the Stones were just practitioners. I would say that the Stones did things that the Beatles didn’t do, for example incorporate different style of music (reggae, or disco) into their sound, which the Stones did and the fans liked it, but overall the Beatles is a better group.
Based on McCartney comments, Yoko didn’t break up the Beatles it was just time for Lennon to go. And he said again “"She certainly didn't break the group up," McCartney says, countering the commonly held belief that Ono caused the Beatles' dissolution. "I don't think you can blame her for anything," I think Yoko deserve to the hostility to be an artist and activist because that is what she does and shouldn’t be blame for anything, Yoke and Lennon were meant to be together so if Lennon leave the group than it’s on him.
For most of the cover song of the Beatles I listen to, most are from other singer kept the original version and just change the style to RNB, POP for example Brian Wilson took the song "Wanderlust" from McCartney's 1982 solo record, Tug Of War.
In 1956 Paul McCartney and John Lennon meet at Woolton Parish Festival, John then asked Paul to join his band The Quarrymen. In 1958 a schoolmate of Paul’s George Harrison left his band the Rebels to join The Quarrymen. While John was attending the Liverpool Institute of Art in 1959, he became friends with Stu Sutcliffe. John offered Stu a place in the band for the price of a bass guitar. Now calling themselves the Silver Beatles, they picked up a drummer Thomas Moore. When they returned from a tour in Scotland, Thomas went on his way leaving the band without a drummer again. Pete Best soon took his place. But in August 1962 Pete wasn’t liked within the group so he was fired and replaced with Richard Starkey. Therefore the four group members were James Paul McCartney, John Winston Lennon, George Harrison and Richard Starkey. “Each came from a working class background, and all had experience in various other rock groups before performing together.” (Encyclopedia Britannica pg.15) The group adopted the name The Beatles in 1960. “On July 7, 1940 Richard Starkey was born in Liverpool, England. John Winston Lennon was born at Oxford Street Maternity Hospital in Liverpool on October 9, 1940. July 18, 1942 James Paul McCartney was born in Liverpool, England. George Harrison was...
