On the other hand, we have also considered the business model as a competitive and unique competence. This model is realized through 5,000 employees, roughly half of whom are in customer support and a fifth in technology. That’s a key in the management because they focus practically all their employees on their customers and the technology, and that gives them an advantage because this distribution produces satisfaction on the customers, which therefore will create customer loyalty and good publicity between eBay’s customers because they will talk about the company well, and that will make that the customers of eBay increase.
Some other unique competences are:
1. The security department as it makes online shopping on eBay safer than in other websites.
2. The educational system class which makes customers more familiar with eBay, which will increase the number of visits to the web as consequence.
All this capabilities make eBay a very important platform of shopping online.
