Diversity Organization Paper
When you look at the status of women throughout the United States you noticed that women for many years have had it rough when it comes to equality. In the earlier years women were looked at as having low standards in life versus men having standards and rights. Women have been fighting for equality for decades, and believe they can do the things that men can. Women only had one another to rely on and provide themselves they can do just as much work. They are expected to take care of the family and the house. Women are perceived as fragile and easily get their feelings hurt. Masculine and feminie are traits that define women versus men; for example when a baby born a mother and father would dress the girls in pink and boys in blue. When you think of masculine you think; Athleticism, enjoying violent entertainment, does not care about physical appearance, and etc. As for feminine you think of dolls, fashionable, girly, make-up, cleaning, sentimental, and etc. This is stereotype when women are much more than what men make them as.
As for as the (GLBT) known as: gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender, they have had a long rough road to travel when it comes to equality. There were only a few attempts within the United States to try and create advocacy groups supporting gay and lesbian relationships until after World War 2 allowed gay life. This isolated gay men and women to meet as soldiers, war workers, and other volunteers.
