Why online MBA programme?
My personal motivation to pursue MBA in Hospitality at Glion stems from the fact that I have a soft corner for the best things in life. As a child my parents imbibed into me that to be successful, you should have a dream, a larger than life vision. If your dream is to reach the stars, you will definitely reach the moon.
I have done my research for over a year on every EMBAs and MBAs available worldwide, including its content and the corresponding institutions. After taking a holistic approach and based on my research, I have concluded that Glion online MBA would best suite my career aspirations, based on its high academic standards and online delivery format. Simultaneously, it will also match my need to balance employment and study concurrently.

My ultimate career goal is to become the President of an international hotel management company, with a focus on a specific geographical region. I would like to operate and be overall responsible for operating, managing and opening new hotels across the region. And on personal front, I am fortunate to have a supportive wife who understands my vision to grow professionally.
I am currently working as Director of Food and Beverage.
I have been involved in hospitality industry for over sixteen years. During this period I have established a firm and clear understanding of food and beverage operation and the managerial skills required to manage and direct the operation. I have held various operational, supervisory and managerial positions within food and beverage; and have worked through the ranks to reach Director of Food and Beverage.
During these sixteen years, I have developed a profound understanding of the front line employees, their motivation, their expectations, and the one who actually “make the magic happen”. I have utilized this operational knowledge and skills and implemented it in pre-opening properties. I have a comprehensive understanding of F&B and unit based financial statements, marketing and promotional plans, training plan, departmental budget and written “standard operating procedures”.
I have a holistic and innovative approach to issues and challenges. I am a firm believer in understanding the business best through gaining knowledge of all aspects. I am persevering and will go the extra mile to get the job done.
How will I utilize my MBA?
I will maintain my current profile as Director of Food and Beverage during the first year of MBA programme. Towards the second half of second year my aim is to build on the seven core courses learned at Glion and elevate from an existing unit level role to Corporate Director of Food and Beverage and operate and manage multiple F&B units within the chain.
