Part 1

For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health: Physical health focuses on the outward appearance of a person like their physique, body size, and shape. An activity that reflects this dimension in my life is exercise. Emotional health: Emotional health relates to your ability to control your emotions appropriately. I believe everyone deals with emotional health on a daily basis, for example there may be certain situations that I am dealing with in my home life that can contribute to my emotional health but while I am at work I have to control those emotions and not let it affect my work and attitude towards others.

Spiritual health: Spiritual health relates to a person’s believes in a supreme being religiously or just a feeling of unity with a greater force. In my personal life I practice spiritual health by going to church for spiritual guidance at least once per week which always helps me to start my week of properly and helps me to establish a closer connection in the Supreme Being as well a sense of fulfillment.
