I have researched Dell Inc. thru many articles and publications to determine what exactly makes them a Fortune 500 company and what they planned to do in the future. They have a few new products coming out in the near future and are always looking to advance in the technology field by bringing out the latest and most advanced products.

They currently employ over 96,000 employees worldwide. About two-thirds of revenues are generated in the Americas, with 22 percent originating in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and with the Asia-Pacific region accounting for the remaining 11 percent. Dell sells its equipment directly to consumers, small to large businesses, government agencies, and healthcare and educational institutions through dedicated sales representatives, telephone-based sales, and online via the company web site. Founder Michael Dell holds 12 percent of the company and will remain chairman of the company after stepping down as CEO in July 2004
In 2009, revenue decreased 13% year-over-year to $52.9 billion, with net income falling 42% from $2.5 billion to $1.4 billion. Revenue grew across all regions: Asia Pacific-Japan grew 15%; Europe, Middle East, and Africa increased 12%; and the Americas grew 3%. Revenue outside the U.S. represented approximately 47% of Fiscal 2008 net revenue, compared to approximately 44% in the prior year. Outside the U.S., Dell produced 14% year-over-year revenue growth for Fiscal 2008, though unit growth was below the overall unit growth rate of the international PC market. Dell lists number 38 on the Fortune 500 list and the current stock price as of Nov.5 is $14.46 with the high and low being $14.59 - $14.19.
