Level four is analyzing. Analyzing is taking a step further from understanding by expanding what you know and breaking it down into parts. Level five is evaluating. Evaluating may be the most important step because it is where you justify the usefulness and quality of truth in the information. Level six is creating. Creating is starting a new idea or process based from the knowledge just obtained. Using this six step process can allow you to fully understand and think through you decision making so that you can make a clear and reasonable choice. There are factors that can alter you decision making. Emotions are in everyday life and can very well effect the thinking process. When emotions are running high, such as sadness or anger, a hasty or improper decision could be made to ease the emotion that you are feeling at the moment. Being able to continue to keep a clear and level head at all times while making a decision allows you to make a clear choice.
Critical thinking can be used and applied to everyday responsibilities and in your professional life. Being able to make a decision comes with an action that you have to apply to the decision and follow through with it. When a decision is made you have to make it a priority and devote time towards it. Making a decision can be based off of your long term goals and your life plans. These can all factor into which decision you choose to make in you professional life and in responsible choices you make. Critical thinking is a more responsible and efficient way to make your decisions that determine the outcome of your life.
Making a life changing decision can be very difficult. It can be very hard to decide between two different choices you have in front of you at times too. Decisions are made and must be made every day whether they are subtle or large. The critical thinking process will allow you to make those hard choices and to make a more intelligent choice.
