Case Study Analysis
* ABC Inc. has hired 15 new employees with plan of starting to work July 1. Carl Robins is the new campus recruiter; he is trying to implement a training program. His plan is to start the training program June 15. Carl is to coordinate with Monica Carrolls the policy and procedures of new hires along with the employee manuals. Carl has discovered that the applications are not complete and the training room has been double booked.

Carl was talking with Monica about everything that needed to be done for the training to start and he discovered things were not done correctly. The applications were not completed or their transcripts on file, and none of them had been sent to the clinic for the mandatory drug screen. Also they need to discuss the options if the meeting is rescheduled how that effect the future will work schedule and production of the company. Hopefully Carl will learn from this experience to help him with future recruitment orientation programs. If Carl and Monica are going to keep the same schedule they will need to find another venue for the training program as the training room at the office has been double booked. Carl might need to ask for help, he needs to pick does he want to finish the application process with the new employees or try to search for a new venue. This is a call he will have to make, which is a property to him? The application process is very important as the new campus recruiter.

* The next new recruitment needs to be handled differently. Carl and Monica need to work closer together. If they check each other things won’t bet missed in the hiring processes. The booking and scheduling of venues for the orientation programs and the work schedules in the end. Short term and long term goals need to be implemented for better production for the business as a whole. The two need to create a time line to be able to meet their goals in a timely manner for the next set of new hiring orientation class.

* Carl needs to create check lists to get things done. There needs to be a check list on each employees file so he can keep a close look on each one and see which step they are one to complete their application process in a timely manner. If these new hires are not complete they will have to wait until the next new employee orientation and if they are mad about it, they should learn to take care of their business.

I recommend that Carl has someone double check him so that he doesn’t confuse the employees. A check list helps will help him in everything he does, also set short term and long term goals for his deadlines. I believe this will help in every area. Also be sure to book the training room in advance. If Monica or a secretary checks him and helps keep him on track he will become more accountable for his new hires and his job as a whole.
