Companies have to communicate any way they can to obtain an understanding of how to complete work in the most cost-effective manner as they see fit. When communicating people will use a form of verbal and nonverbal communication. By using proper communication in the future employees and customers will value you. Many PDAs can access the internet, intranets or extranets via Wi-Fi, or Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWANs). Many PDAs employ touch screen technology.” PDAs can create word documents, keep track of meetings, keep track of any upcoming events, and can make telephone calls with not being in the office. By having this type of equipment (PDA) there are some disadvantages; an employee is always connected to work at all times. When an employee has a PDA it is difficult for an employee to distance himself from work and focus on family; because their e-mails are continually popping up on their PDA’s.
Social network- “is a social structure made up of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes," which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige.” By using social networking this helps employers get to know their employees on a personal level; this can also opens the door for employees to misuse their computers at work. By company’s using the network it can carry a risk of getting viruses on the e-mail, documents which can spread through any company like wild fire.
Team work- Businesses all over the world are asking for their employees to work as a team, “Teamwork is very important in the business world. Through teamwork, employees bring their different strengths and talents to solve problems, make decisions and complete projects (Kienzler & Locker, 2008). Communication is very important and crucial to the success of a team.”
