I think the artist has been represented this way because she stands out and the outfit kind of represents a goddess.

I do not thinks this is a negative representation as I think all she is trying to do is stand out and look good so that people by the CD.

Is the representation a positive or negative one?
This is clearly a negative representation as it is a clear stereotype of black American men and stereotypes are always negative and portray people in a bad way.
What impact does the representation have on the audience?
I think the representation that this has on the audience is that he is a gangster and he would actually use those guns as the title is ‘the hip-hop thugsta’ which tells the audience that he is the thug of hip-hop.

Eazy-E
How does the image represent the theme you have chosen?
The image represents the theme that I have chosen clearly because of the guns he is holding and also his appearance represents danger as he looks as if he is powerful and would actually use the guns.
Why do you think the artist has been represented this way?
I think that Eazy-E is represented in this way because of his background before he made a career in rap as he used to deal drugs to make a living but because of the success in rap I do not think that would change him into anything different.
Is the representation a positive or negative one?
This is clearly a negative representation as it is a clear stereotype of black American men and stereotypes are always negative and portray people in a bad way.

Eminem
How does the image represent the theme you have chosen?
I think this represents the theme of humour very well as the setting and people in the cover are very out of place as there is Bobby Lee dressed as an eskimo, Eminem as a lumberjack but then there is an actor playing the role of American Politician Sarah Palin.
Why do you think the artist has been represented this way?
I think that the artist have been represented this way because that the characters will create controversy within the music industry as the characters that the artist are portraying would never be seen this way in the real world.
Is the representation a positive or negative one?
I think that this representation is a sort of purposely negative representation because of the fact that it will cause a lot of controversy within the industry which means that because more people are talking about it will mean that a lot of people will want to listen to it which means more money for the artists.
What impact does the representation have on the audience?
I think that the impact that this will have on the audience is that the audience could see the funny side within the cover because I think this is what the artists are trying to send out. Also the audience could have a negative reaction because they could get annoyed with how some of the characters are portrayed on the cover but also in the music video.
