As a child growing up and going to church, I started to learn more about what the Word of God said about this subject. In my 20’s, I became more active in Bible studies, and that is when I really got a good understanding and believed that we were all created in the image of God. Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV) says, “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”. I believe that we are all created in His image and that we are to all strive to exemplify these same traits as He lives through us.
Being a supervisor, I deal with many different backgrounds of people. Growing up the trait of humility was never my strong suit, but I had to learn to be humble and allow God to lead so that my ...view middle of the document...
2 Chronicles 15:7 (ESV) says, “But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” And Matthew 19:26 (ESV) says, “But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Living as a Christian and working in management, I need to represent my integrity through God’s image. I would show this by being genuine and honest, always being fair and telling only the truth. Galatians 6:6 (KJV) says, “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.” God still owns it all, and we need to take care of it on His behalf. We guard, watch over, and manage the things God sends our way. Romans 8:28 (KJV) says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Not only am I held accountable before God, my employer expect me to be upright and fair. The judgement of God is imperative, as well as men. Proverbs 5:6 (NIV) says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” I have worked hard to progress my career with this company. I feel this is my vocation, and the path I am on is one the Lord has set for me. Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV) says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” I believe I am of that, and the belief in creation and God’s involvement is very critical. Not believing could have a huge impact on my career.
When God’s creation was completed, the creatures, plants, and mankind, God had a purpose and a plan. He said to Jeremiah, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, planes for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV). I feel the truly successful person knows God, obeys His words, and glorifies Him in our everyday life. Work hard, put in the hours and hope to gain success. Proverbs 3:2 (NIV) says, “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.” God set the example of the ultimate love that we all should follow.
