Over the course of my study, I have learned and experienced many different milestones that I could use in my life. Throughout the course, I have completed three different milestones. My paper will be divided into four major sections, all of which I will describe briefly on what I learned. Section one, also milestone one, of my paper will be where I first began to set my vision for the course. In this section, I will bring in information I have gleaned from the self-assessments that I completed in this milestone. In section two, also milestone two, I will briefly ...view middle of the document...

The third milestone I completed was the PEST analysis. A PEST analysis is an acronym that stands for Political, Economic, Socio-Cultural, and Technological (Carlson & Manktelow, 2014). The PEST analysis gives you advance warnings of significant threats, helps you spot business and/or personal opportunities, and it can help you avoid starting projects that are likely to fail for reasons beyond your control. In the last section of my paper, I will create a chart showing the practical goals I have developed during my course of study.
In my first milestone, I completed three major self-assessments. Each self-assessment has helped me to better understand myself. One self-assessment I completed was about stress. I found out that I have a high risk of becoming ill in the near future due to stress. I am a part of a 64 percentile of others who have a high risk of becoming ill from stress in the near future. I did not expect the results I was given. Another self-assessment I completed was about signs of burnout. “Burnout” is when an individual experience a lack of productivity. The poll from the assessment shows that I have only a few signs of burnout along with 31% of other people who took the assessment. The final self-assessment I completed was Locus of Control. Locus of control is when an individual believes he/she can control what affects them in life. Being that my locus of control is moderate, I have an average belief of whatever takes place in my life results from my own behavior and actions I decided to make. 79% of people also have a moderate internal locus of control.

Milestone Two: SWOT Analysis
Strengths * I have good patience * I can easily adjust myself to any environment * I am very respectful to others * I have excellent communication skills | Weaknesses * I am short tempered * Saying “no” is hard for me to do * I am very gullible * Need improvements with my mathematical skills |
Opportunities * With patience, I can work with children * By being respectful, I can set an example for others * I can do presentations without being nervous * Able to be comfortable around strangers by adjusting to my environment | Threats * I can use my patience when working with my children * If I was anything besides respectful, people probably would not take me serious * If I could not adjust to new environments, I would feel out of place * Not having good communication skills when talking to someone can sometimes turn out bad |
After doing the SWOT analysis, it has been easier for me to point out my opportunities and threats based on my strengths and weaknesses. My strengths are I am patient, adjust well to new environments, excellent communication skills, and I am respectful to others. My weaknesses are I am short tempered, I need improvement with my mathematical skills, I am gullible, and it is hard for me to say “no” to anyone. Some of the opportunities I came up with deals mostly with my...
