I have thought for several days how one might go about convincing another person that does not believe in God that there is indeed a God. That this God is the highest being, and is ultimately in control of every aspect of the earth. I know that this task would be difficult to accomplish, especially to someone who does not believe in any higher being at all.
You could not simply convince a person that there is a God by solely using the bible as your proof of God's existence. Rationally thinking, if they do not believe in God, then they would most certainly not believe in the teachings of the bible. When trying to convince someone of something, it is imperative to offer proof to back up your theory. When trying to prove God's existence it would be impossible to just pick one big piece of proof and for that piece to magically be the key to unlocking this person's way of thinking. Perhaps if I were to offer several pieces of proof from every aspect of life, then the person might be able to put the pieces together and form the large piece of proof that it takes to comprehend and believe.
Some of these pieces of proof could be testimonials of people that have been healed from a terminal disease where the doctors were even left puzzled. Another piece of proof that could be offered is yet another testimony from someone who once did not believe in God, but now they do. This testimony could go into how their lives have changed since asking God into their life. As the bible states in Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." There is no other better peace than the peace that comes through God and knowing that you are his child. It is also important to tell them that God does not promise us that things will always be peaches and cream, but having a relationship with God does...
