In the modern day capitalism along with globalization has paved way to different lifestyles of people around, architects should alter paradigms or the perspective of designing responding to the changes happening. This could be further explained by emphasizing key points for example the built environment should promote exercise and diet, environment should balance society’s psychology by providing better light, sound and dimensions and the environments created should promote much better social interactions. The spaces designed should also be designed considering the amenities available such as commuter services, health and recreation opportunities. Throughout the world may new housing projects have incorporated things such as community garden spaces, spaces to cultivate one’s own food as small vegetable plantations which promote the swift interaction of the society and the built environment built by architects.

Some of the responsibilities of architects are listed in the above paragraphs so that there is proper interaction being attained between the architects and the rest of the community. The social responsibilities of an architect are immense although the population seems minor and obviously architects are not contributing to world peace or anything but they are in fact building structurally safe infrastructures which bares the lives of the inhabitants of the society within it, and the comfort of these people inside should be considered as well so that they feel comfortable around the roof that they living under. This contributes to happy societies and also shows the development of a country.

So if all these issues are looked into and addressed clearly the social responsibilities of an architect could be clearly satisfied and the society would be in a completely orderly and a better state than it had been before. Therefore these aspects that effect the society on a whole should be looked into before designing buildings or any elements in the built environment by architects.
