The revenue increased by 7 percent and which has changed the total of the revenue for the company. The company has experienced recent losses which is counted as other expenses. The total amount for this was $13,000,000 and this was from foreign currency exchanged because of the foreign currency exchange rates. Losses relating to management and balances are not related because the risk of this is minimal. Cash and cash equivalents total $2,936,000 in August 2013 compared to $2,165,000 in August 2012. Short term investments accounts receivables have totaled over $5million dollars. The total inventory of the company is over $3million dollars which this has not increased that much from the August 2012 balance which was at $3million also. The company is able to sustain itself because of the amount of inventory and cash and cash equivalents. Nike Inc. is able to recover from a tragedy happening which they are still able to profit from items because the company is broad with having athletic footwear, clothing and accessories. The Nike Company is able to have potential earning because the company does not deal with losses on a regular basis and is always profiting from different things because of the type of market they are in and the different inventories they deal with.
