Alternative Dispute Resolution
As corporation continues to develop and expand, the need for conflict resolution will enhance. Conflict occurs from differences within team members. Different values, attitudes, beliefs are all factors in conflict in a group setting. Creating methods of resolving conflict resolution is critical in the success of any team-oriented organization. Conflicts begin from several sources within a group setting, structural, communication, and personal factors. This document will elaborate on how mediation will provide resolution to conflict management on these sources.

Prior to mediation process, teams members will agree to let the mediator determine the solution. The mediator will be the professor or someone who has a neutral claim in the dispute. Information from both parties is presented to the mediator; he or she will listen to both parties and negotiate on a reasonable solution to the problem.
Communication and personal factors are detrimental within a learning team. Team members with poor listening skills, different interpretation and perception in what is expected between team members and the nonverbal communication can cause conflict. Without the proper communication skills, productivity suffers, which can lead to conflict. Possessing the right personal to do the job within group activity is very important. The wrong personal can cause a delay in progress and ultimately cause conflicts. These communication and personal issues are discussed with the mediator. All information will be provided from both parties. Mediator will determine resolution for issues concerning communication and personal.
In this modern era group activities are becoming more common. Conflict management methods must be created and apply. Structural, communication, and personal are factors important in an organize group. When issues happen and can’t be resolve, a mediator should be used. A mediator can resolve issues quickly and fairly and can maintain workflow.
