The umbrella is a collage and also it is a non-representation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is a martial art from Brazil. I have done it for 15 years, and I am teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Canberra, and the jiu-jitsu is a good job for me because it gives me some security here, The umbrella is a metaphor for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in my life.
The mountain, the sand and the ocean are made with the same kind of lines. I used organic lines to draw it, so these lines are in harmony between them.
Jesus Cristo on top of the mountain is a representation of my religion, so it is high because it is really important for myself. I made it with black ink.
There are chairs and these chairs are empty. It is a metaphor about how I feel now in relation with my family, and again i used the black ink.
I scrub the green leaves on the paper to make the mountains. The sky is purple, and it represents the freedom in my life. I made the sky, the sand and the ocean with gouache.
