Agilent was spun off from Hewlett-Packard Company in 1999 as part of a corporate realignment that created two separate companies. We broke records on November 18, 1999, as the largest initial public offering (IPO) in Silicon Valley history. Agilent’s roots date back to 1939, when Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard started the company that helped shape Silicon Valley and the technology industry. The two founders are renowned for their visionary approach to management and for their commitment to making products that contribute to advances in science and technology.

(Bill) Sullivan is president and chief executive officer of Agilent Technologies. Prior to his appointment in March 2005, Sullivan was the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. Sullivan received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Discovery.
Gooi Soon Chai is Senior Vice President, Infrastructure and Order Fulfillment, EM Company where he is responsible for leading the effort to leverage strength in manufacturing, procurement and logistics across the company’s business groups. Gooi joined the company in 1985. He holds a bachelor's degree with first class honors in electrical and electronics engineering from London University, and a master's degree in computer engineering from Imperial College London.
