In the American culture the transgendered are usually looked down upon. They are often mistreated and disliked just for the way they act and look.
Many people in the American culture see being transgendered as an abomination. Those people who see being transgendered as wrong believe this because that’s how they were raised. Another reason for people to believe being transgendered is wrong is religion. Most religions believe that it is wrong to change your sex or want to be a part of another sex because it is not how god intended you.
One culture that views this completely different would have to be the transgendered culture themselves. If you were to ask any of the transgendered how they perceive themselves, they would probably tell you that as long as that person is happy then it shouldn’t matter how others view them. I personally agree with this statement. As long as one person is happy with the way they are, no matter the sex change than why should it bother anyone else?
