What is a Vision?
Vision is something which outlines what the organization wants to be, or how it wants the world in which it operates to be. It is a long-term view and concentrates on the future. It can be emotive and is a source of inspiration. For example, a charity working with the poor might have a vision statement which reads "A World without Poverty."
An explicit statement of what you want to do, be or have in the future. It must be positive and detailed enough for people to form a mental picture. It must be inspiring, challenging and worth the effort.

A collective identity
The organization’s uniqueness
Employees’ worth and efficacy

the purpose of the vision is to inspire and enthuse, it is equally important that this ambition is tempered by an underlying sense of realism. People need to believe that what is envisaged is actually achievable; otherwise there is no reason for them to believe or buy in to it.

* It raises the standard of excellence
* It establishes meaning for today
* It gives hope for the future
* It brings unity to community
* It provides a sense of continuity
* It raises commitment level

Mission Defines the fundamental purpose of an organization or an enterprise, succinctly describing why it exists and what it does to achieve its vision. The mission statement should be a clear and succinct representation of the enterprise's purpose for existence. It should incorporate socially meaningful and measurable criteria addressing concepts such as the moral/ethical position of the enterprise, public image, the target market, products/services, the geographic domain and expectations of growth and profitability. The statement can range from a very simple to a very complex set of ideas.
